Due to the regularly scheduled general membership meeting falling on July 4th, it has been scheduled for July 11th at 7:30
Please contact the membership chairman ASAP if you are experiencing any of the following problems…
- You have not yet received your 2017 sticker
- You are not receiving club emails
- Your access card is not working
The membership chairman can be reached via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don’t forget that 2017 Membership Renewals are due by September 30th, 2016. If we do not receive your dues and the required renewal form by this date your access card will be shut off. Renewal forms were sent out back in August and they MUST accompany your dues to be accepted. If you did not receive a form please contact the membership chairman via email ASAP at email@example.com
Our email distribution list is created from our membership database. If you’re not receiving emails, it is likely your information is incorrect in our system.
We have found in most cases this is due to simple typographical errors such as missing/incorrect letters or wrong suffix (.com .net .org etc).
As we are currently in the renewal cycle, now is the time to correct these issues.
Please ensure your your email address and other pertinent information on the membership renewal form is correct and legible so we can maintain your records.
Thank you for your cooperation.
This Sunday, July 17th, is your last opportunity to renew your 2017 NSSA membership early in person at the clubhouse. Individuals on the Membership Committee will be present from 10am-2pm to provide you with the appropriate renewal paperwork, secure your dues, and issue your 2017 membership sticker. Don’t forget that everyone who renews early in person will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Field and Stream gift card. Note that after July 17th you must wait to receive your renewal paperwork in the mail in early August to send in your dues. Any dues sent to the club without the appropriate renewal paperwork will be returned unprocessed. Your cooperation is appreciated! If you have any questions about the renewal process feel free to reach out to me via email. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
After over two years of careful screening and evaluation, we are proud to introduce INPAX | Academy of Personal Protection; a Wexford based, full-spectrum personal security training firm that teaches self-defense, defensive firearms, and critical incident response training to individuals, families, corporations and schools across the country. INPAX founder, Sam Rosenberg, is a former Marine Corps officer with extensive experience in the close protection world; is the author of two books, and is a nationally recognized subject-matter-expert whose opinions are routinely sought out by the news media.
The highly skilled INPAX training cadre specialize in working with beginners, and the INPAX Defensive firearms program provides a step-by-step approach to systematically building the skills necessary to safely and effectively own, carry, and use a firearm as a protective instrument.
INPAX is now booking private and group classes – including 3 classes exclusively available to NSSA Members and their Guests for the Spring:
- WOMEN’S ONLY – Defensive Handgun 1
- Firearm Safety, Range Etiquette & Concealed Carry Law
- Justifying Force – Use of Force Legal Briefing
INPAX entry-level classes are great for first time shooters, spouses that you’d like to introduce to shooting, and experienced shooters who would like to expand their knowledge and capabilities through truly cutting edge training in the science of personal protection. Even experienced competitive shooters will find benefit from INPAX’s instructors who are also nationally ranked competitors, such as Matt Trout a USPSA Grand Master.
In the words of INPAX founder Sam Rosenberg “Personal security is a fundamental human need, but ultimately an individual responsibility.” We hope that by offering training of this caliber at our club, our members and families will be able to take one more step towards being able to responsibly protect themselves and their loved ones.
PLEASE NOTE: INPAX handles all appointments and class registrations directly, so please don’t contact the club to register for classes – contact INPAX directly.
This message is a reminder to all members about Northside’s policy on bringing guests, accepted last year by the Board of Directors. Any member bringing more than 3 guests to shoot at any range must first contact the Range Chairman to discuss the date and number of guests. Members are personally responsible for the actions of their guests, and the Board of Directors does not feel that one member can monitor and ensure the safe conduct of more than 3 guests at a time. The range chairman can make arrangements to have help available to accommodate the extra guests, if needed.
This policy only includes non scheduled events, such as open shooting on rifle, pistol, archery, skeet, trap, etc. Scheduled events such as trap and skeet shoots are not included under this policy, as there are enough safety officers for those events.
Also, please remember that guests must yield to members in case of overcrowding at our ranges.
Please respect this policy and cooperate with NSSA range chairmen to ensure safety for all shooters.
Stan Hoover, NSSA Board Chairman
In observance of the first week of Deer Season please be aware of the following.
ALL Ranges will be CLOSED from dawn to dusk Nov 30th – Dec 5th.
The December General Membership Meeting is rescheduled to Dec 8
Since the rifle range will be shut down all day Saturday Sept 12, 2015, for the annual NSSA family picnic, there will be training sessions all morning at the rifle range on the use of the golf cart.
Starting time is 8 AM and will continue until about noon. Anyone who wants the training and has not taken it is welcome. I believe I can train perhaps 30 to 40 members on a first come first serve basis. You must bring your access card so it can be updated to provide access as well as for proof of membership.
See you Saturday Sept 12.
Stan Hoover, Rifle Range Chairman
