indoor300@northsidesportsmen.com
The Indoor archery league is open to regular and junior members as well as non-member children accompanied by their parent. Shooters must be at least 10 years of age and must be able to reach the targets from the 20 yard line. The goal of the league is to provide NSSA members an opportunity to compete for fun and prizes in a friendly environment.
See the calendar below for league schedule.
Entry Fee:
$30 for the entire season (Range fees are also collected at each shoot)
Rules:
Participants must shoot 3 arrows at a target for 10 rounds. The maximum score for a single arrow is 10 and the maximum score for a round is 300. Keep track of the amount of Xs (center of 10 circle) you get in the case of a tiebreaker.
Scoring:
Flight scoring will be employed. Flights are a way to help ensure you are competing against shooters of similar skill. Shooters will be divided into separate flights of approximately 4 people each based on their scores from their first two shoots. For example if there are 16 shooters they will be divided into 4 flights of 4 shooters per flight. From that point on you will be competing against the other shooters in your flight.
An average from your top 6 scores from the 9 weeks will determine who wins each flight. The most improved shooter is determined by the difference between your average score from your first 3 shoots and your last 3 shoots.
Target Locations:
- There will be four archers on each target butt and two per target lane.
- Target lanes and target locations (Upper or Lower) will be determined by by drawing numbers
Prizes:
$30 will go to most improved shooter.
The remainder is split evenly between the winners of each flight
