Members and guests only- no public shooting! Unaccompanied non-members are trespassers and will be prosecuted!

Shooting Procedures

1. Members and guests only. A current member must accompany guests. Members must display current membership card at all times.
2. All shooters must sign-in and prepay fees before shooting. Sign-in constitutes acceptance and understanding of all listed rules and guidelines.
3. Members have preference over guests when range is crowded.
4. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages on the range at any time.
5. Positively no full automatic, uncontrolled (un-aimed) or rapid fire (more than one shot in three seconds) shooting at any time.
6. All shooters are strongly advised to wear eye protection during shooting.
7. All shooters are required to wear eye & ear protection. Spectators are required to use ear protection.
8. Use paper targets ONLY. No explosive targets. Remove when finished shooting and place in trash cans.
9. Shooting on the ground, in the air, across the range or mid-range shooting of any kind is prohibited.
10. The posted orange flag system must be followed at all times. {The flag is set out when the CEASE FIRE
    command is given} and is retrieved when shooting is to resume or range is exited.
11. Do not place targets on cross members or posts. Place targets on backing or between vertical strips only.
12. All firearms must be handled in a safe manner. Keep the muzzle pointed down range at all times.
13. Do not throw any ammunition or brass in the rubbish barrels. Place it in the containers provided.
14. A parent or adult must accompany all persons under 18 years of age
15. Please keep our range clean. Pick up all targets, boxes, patches, brass and steel empty cartridges.
16. Shotguns using more than one projectile (shot) are PROHIBITED. Single projectile only.
17. All rifles chambered for 50 cal. BMG are PROHIBITED.
18. Any and all accidental discharges must be reported to the range personnel or BOARD of DIRECTORS
19. All vehicles are prohibited on the range except for NSSA operational reasons.
20. Release of claims. By staying here to shoot or observe, you agree that you understand and will abide by
    the rules. You also agree that you and your family will not sue the club, or the people who run the club, or
    the people who keep up the club, or instructors who teach here or those who make or enforce the rules.

Release Of Claims For Accidental Injuries or Death, Assumption Of Risk Agreement, Agreement Not
To Sue, and Agreement To Hold Harmless, In Connection With Participation In Shooting Activities. In consideration of their presence at and/or participation in any shooting activities at the North Side
Sportsmen’s Association (hereinafter “NSSA”) all individuals using or present at NSSA ranges and grounds and every shooter and observer agrees on behalf of themselves individually, their heirs, executors, and assigns, and any minor children who accompanies them that they (1) do so at their own risk, and (2) assume responsibility for any injury to persons or property caused by them, (3) for themselves, their heirs, executors, and assigns, and for any minor children who accompanies them they agree that in the event any claim for damages is or in the future shall be prosecuted against NSSA or its officers, directors, committee chairman or members, instructors, range officers, coaches, agents, or employees as a result of their actions, omissions, or negligence, that they, or their estate, shall indemnify and save harmless NSSA, its officers, directors, committee chairman or members, instructors, agents, or employees from any and all claims or causes of action by whomever and whatever and wherever made or prosecuted for damages, including the cost and expense of defending the same. You are personally responsible for all damage that you cause. BY REMAINING ON THESE PREMISES, YOU AGREE TO THE FOREGOING.

All range shooting is governed by these rules except for special events, and may be changed at any time by
the B.O.D. or range committee as deemed necessary.

Non-compliance of these rules constitutes removal from the range and may be subject to disciplinary action by NSSA. Violators may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
