Pistol Range Daily Use Donation
Includes the whole period for any of the open shooting hours. A whole period means from the earliest scheduled time of the day until the latest scheduled time of the day.

The pistol range at NSSA has several different distances from which one can shoot. There is a 7 yard, 15 yard, 25 and 50 yard range available to choose from.
UNCASE AND CASE FIREARMS WITH MUZZLE POINTED DOWNRANGE WHEN NO PERSON IS DOWNRANGE
Please carry your firearm to and from the firing line in a case or holster or pointed straight down. Don nottouch or handle any firearm behind the firing line or when people are downrange. If a gun is in your hand it must never be pointed at another person.
BUCKSHOT IS PROHIBITED on this range.
GUEST POLICY – MEMBERS HAVE PREFERENCE OVER GUESTS

a. Responsible adult must constantly supervise each child on or behind
the firing line
b. No more than 3 guests per member at any one time unless the Range
Chairman has approved more in advance so that a range officer may be

c. Non-members and spouses and children (under 18) of members will be
considered guests.
d. At any visit with guests, no guest may shoot while the member is
shooting, and the member may not shoot while any guest is shooting; instead
the member must monitor the guest.
e. Only one guest at a time may shoot, unless another member is
available to monitor the guest.
f. Spouses and children 16 or 17 may shoot at the same time as the
member only if they have attended a New Member Orientation Session, given
occasionally by the Membership Committee. Those spouses/children will be
given credentials as having attended the course. However the member must be
present when they are shooting.
g. All spouses are encouraged to attend any available New Member
Orientation Session, after informing the Membership Chair.

h. Any non-shooting guest inside any shooting pavilion will be treated
and counted as a guest toward the maximum of three. Any such person must
remove from the area back to a vehicle or the Clubhouse to not be counted as
a guest. These persons are not permitted to shoot.
All outdoor ranges will be closed during the first week of deer season, typically Saturday after Thanksgiving until the following Saturday night. The following closures will be in effect for this year:
- All outdoor ranges will be closed Friday evening November 26 at dusk and will remain closed the entire week.
- Trap and Skeet will be open their regular evening hours after 5 PM (4 PM if there are no hunters signed into the Hunting Sign In Book).
- There will be no closures of the indoor Archery Range.
Please understand that there is to be NO shooting of firearms during the range closures
anywhere on NSSA property except in legal hunting. If you don’t have your firearm
sighted in before range closure on Saturday November 27, you cannot sight it in here during the week of
closures. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action by the Board.
