Just for fun (no scoring). Bolt-action, 16 rounds in 5 minutes, any position, at 200 yards (simulating German side). Followed by M1 Garand, 24 rounds in 3-minutes at 200 yards, any position (simulating Allied side).
The event is open to the public and participants under 18 years old participate for free.
Distance 200 Yards.
Position(s)/# Rounds Any position, 16 rounds for bolt rifles, followed by 24 rounds for the M1 Garand.
Sighters: Up to 5 for each rifle.
Time(s) 4 minutes for each relay.
Rifles permitted First relay a K98 German rifle is preferred, but any period military bolt rifle is OK. The Second relay will be an M1 Garand rifle.
Sights permitted: Iron sights only.
General: A sling may be used in any position. A shooting mat is suggested. This a fun shoot only, fired at full torso targets at 200 yards, with no scoring recorded.
Bring enough clips to complete the match. No shooting coats but field jackets are OK. Wear period uniforms if desired.
