Spring Trap league starts March 10
Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 12-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights at the end of the 12-weeks.
Our Spring League starts Thursday, March 10th, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the 100 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $10 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.
Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! Please be advised that during this 12-week league shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice instead, however league squads will have preference over trap availibility.

Great start for Indoor 3D Archery
There was an impressive turnout for last Thursday’s indoor 3D archery shoot. Co-Chair Tom M. Set the field for the shoot and although he took it easy for the opener by setting most of the targets at 20 or 30 yards there were plenty of challenging shots.
Thanks to all who attended! It makes the effort worthwhile to see everyone participating and having fun. For those who are curious, don’t be shy.. There are many friendly folks here willing to help! We hope to see you in the weeks to come!
Indoor 3D Archery starting Jan 7
The NSSA Archery committee is getting ready for the upcoming 3D archery league which is starting January 7th!
New targets are being prepared and mounted on stands, and target inserts are being replaced on others as needed.
This is a very popular and fun shoot for everyone – we encourage you to participate.
NSSA Guest Policy Reminder
This message is a reminder to all members about Northside’s policy on bringing guests, accepted last year by the Board of Directors. Any member bringing more than 3 guests to shoot at any range must first contact the Range Chairman to discuss the date and number of guests. Members are personally responsible for the actions of their guests, and the Board of Directors does not feel that one member can monitor and ensure the safe conduct of more than 3 guests at a time. The range chairman can make arrangements to have help available to accommodate the extra guests, if needed.
This policy only includes non scheduled events, such as open shooting on rifle, pistol, archery, skeet, trap, etc. Scheduled events such as trap and skeet shoots are not included under this policy, as there are enough safety officers for those events.
Also, please remember that guests must yield to members in case of overcrowding at our ranges.
Please respect this policy and cooperate with NSSA range chairmen to ensure safety for all shooters.
