Please have your NRA member number handy. Class time 8am to 5pm. All course materials will be provided. Lunch will be ordered with the cost split among the participants. Please bring a pencil and pen to class, a highlighter is handy too. There is NO range time with this class and will be all indoors.
Continue readingThere is something special about the way a community comes together over a shared meal. Over the past several weeks, NSSA has been buzzing with activity during our Friday Fish Fries. As we wrap up this season, we want to take a moment to look back and thank the people who made every single one of those Fridays a success.
Behind every great operation is a leader who keeps the gears turning, and for our kitchen, that person is Carrie Franklin. As our Kitchen Chairwoman, Carrie has been the true backbone of this entire campaign. From the first Friday to the last, her tireless planning, organization, and dedication ensured that hundreds of meals were served with quality and care.
Carrie, thank you for your leadership and for the countless hours you spent making sure our kitchen ran like a well-oiled machine. We simply couldn’t have done it without you.
To everyone who stepped up week after week—manning the fryers, prepping the sides, and serving our guests with a smile—thank you. A recurring event like this is a marathon, not a sprint. Your consistency and willingness to show up and work hard created a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walked through our doors. It’s the heart of our volunteers that truly defines the spirit of NSSA.
To the members of the community who joined us over these past several Fridays: it was a pleasure to have you. We hope you enjoyed the food and got a feel for what our club is all about. At NSSA, we take great pride in being a welcoming space for our neighbors. Whether you’re interested in conservation, shooting sports, or just finding a great place to connect with others, our doors are always open to you.
As we moved through these weeks together, culminating in our final gathering on Good Friday, it has been a wonderful season of fellowship and service. As we now transition into Easter, we wish you all a weekend of peace, renewal, and joy. We hope the spirit of community we shared over these meals carries forward into your holiday celebrations.

Our recent air rifle competition, organized by the Keystone Paralyzed Veterans of America (KPVA), was more than just a display of talent—it was a powerful example of inner strength and perseverance. We are proud to honor the incredible individuals and partners who made this day a resounding success.
The True Meaning of Grit – To the veterans who took their marks at the firing line: thank you for inspiring us. Watching the focus in your eyes and the steadiness of your aim was a profound reminder of what it means to overcome.We recognize that the path that led you here is marked by your service to our country. Whether through the rigors of duty or accidents sustained while serving, the challenges you face today—are met with a quiet, unshakable resolve.The moment the competition began, those physical realities were secondary to the sheer determination on display. Using specialized gear and adaptive techniques, you showed us that there is no obstacle too great for a person fueled by purpose. Each shot fired was a testament to your resilience; you proved that marksmanship is defined by the spirit of the shooter, not their physical circumstances.
This event flourished thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and the hands-on help from our community partners.
We all know that no competition is complete without great food, and our kitchen staff absolutely knocked it out of the park! They kept us going from start to finish with a fantastic spread:

Events like these prove that when we provide the right platform, there are no limits to what our veterans can achieve. We are already looking forward to the next competition and hope to see even more familiar faces on the range.Congratulations again to all our marksmen and women!
NSSA is pleased to announce its annual Good Friday Trap Shoot and Fish Fry on April 3rd 2026.
This 100 bird event features $1200 in added money sponsored by R&R Financial and Weber Insurance

Competition Start: 10AM
Kitchen Opens: 11AM – 1PM, Dinner 4PM – 8PM

Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 12 week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights at the end of the 12 weeks. Our League starts Thursday, March 12th, with a 50 bird pre-season shoot. This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the 50 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $14 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club. Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! Please be advised that shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice instead, however league squads will have preference over trap availability.

NSSA is excited to host Mcdonald Sportsmen’s Association JOAD tournament at NSSA! Over 180 archers have competed over the past 2 days. NSSA will hold our own tournament Feb 27-29!
NSSA is honored to host Keystone Paralyzed Veterans of America Adaptive Air Rifle Clinic And Competition Mar 21-22. Members are encouraged to visit and support our veterans. See the attached flyer for more details.
