Over 200 competitors signed up to compete over this past weekend at NSSA. The Board of Directors and NSSA Youth Archery thanks everyone coaches, volunteers, parents, and archers for their participation and support to make this year’s tournament a success!

CALL TO ACTION! ACSL is honored to host Rep. David Maloney, house minority chair of the fish and game committee for his western Pennsylvania stop of his sportsmen’s listening tour. We thank White Oak Rod and Gun Club for graciously providing a facility for this special event on Feb 5th, 6:30pm.

The North Side Archery Committee is proud to announce a 6 week Youth Intro to Archery Course this winter. Your child will have the opportunity to explore the joy of Archery while learning the fundamentals of the sport. Limited spots are available. Don’t delay!

NSSA will provide all equipment, but you may bring your own equipment if you wish.

Cost is $10. (Fee waived for existing NSSA Youth Members)

Time: Sundays 10am – 11:30am, (9:30AM Start First Week for equipment fitting)

All: Please be aware that Trap will close at approximately 10:00 AM this Sunday, October 5th for a special event.

Early Morning Shooters can still get their rounds in – so if you are an early riser, feel free to come out!

Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 12-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights at the end of the 12-weeks.

Our League starts Thursday, August 28th, with a 50 bird pre-season shoot. This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the 50 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.

Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $14 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club. 

Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! Please be advised that shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice instead, however league squads will have preference over trap availability.

NSSA kitchen committee welcomes all to join us for fish fry on March 5th and 7th 2025! Time 4pm – 8pm. Download the full menu below.

This weekend, over 170 youth archery competitors from throughout the region visited NSSA to compete. We welcome everyone to our club and thank you for your participation!

Thank you to all who came out to the Halloween themed West Range Zombie Shoot!!!! Even with our event “Maryland” rule for max rounds – the Zombies did not win the day!!!! Everyone had fun, shot well and most importantly were SAFE!! It was a great day (started pretty cold) and we were happy to welcome all. We had a “blast.”

We are growing at the range and we cannot thank you enough for all the positive feedback, the help, the enthusiasm and the participation. We are building a great community.

While this “officially” closes our season, don’t be surprised if a few surprise matches pop up before too long, in the winter.
