NSSA is looking for members to join our kitchen committee! We are seeking individuals who are certified food protection managers or are willing to complete necessary training to become certified.
As a member of our kitchen committee, you will work alongside other members to prepare and serve delicious meals to our members and guests for various events. You will also ensure that our kitchen is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
To join the committee, you must complete the food protection manager certification program, which will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to keep our kitchen safe and in compliance with Health Department regulations. If you are not already certified, NSSA will reimburse you for the costs of this training provided you volunteer in kitchen at NSSA.
Though any ANSI Accredited certification is acceptable, our kitchen chairman plans to attend in-person training offered by Allegheny County in May. Visit Allegheny County Food Protection Manager Certification for more info.
