North Side Sportsmen’s Association is excited to announce the launch of our Youth 3-Position Air Rifle League! This league is designed for experienced young shooters who are ready to take their skills to the next level in a competitive and structured environment.
League Details:
- Equipment Classes Available: Precision and Sporter
- Duration: 1 warm-up week followed by 8 weeks of league scoring
Time slots: 7PM-8PM and 8:15PM-9:15PM. On the first week, all participants must report at 6:30pm for registration, safety briefing, and equipment assignment.
- Rules: The league will adhere to the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules
- Cost: $10 for NSSA Youth Membership. NO cost for existing youth members.
Important Information:
- Eligibility: This league is intended for experienced school-aged youth shooters who are familiar with competitive shooting and safety protocols.
- Course of Fire: 3×10 – The individual 3×10 Three-Position Event course of fire consists of 10 shots each in the prone, standing, and kneeling positions, fired in that order.
- Precision Category: Shooters in the Precision category must provide their own equipment, including rifle, glove, sling, offhand shooting stand, and other necessary gear.
- Sporter Category: NSSA has 8 Daisy 887 air rifles available for Sporter category shooters. However, Sporter category shooters may bring their own equipment if desired.
- Provided by NSSA: NSSA will supply pellets, targets, and CO2 for club air rifles.

- Warm-Up Week: A dedicated warm-up week will be held to ensure all participants are prepared and ready for the competition.
- Scoring Weeks: The official league scoring will take place over 8 weeks, allowing participants ample opportunity to demonstrate their skills and improve their standings.
