Get Ready! Fall Trap League starts soon
Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 15-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights!
Our Fall League starts Thursday, August 31st, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. After this shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $10 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.
Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! During this 15-week league, shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice. Please be advised, however, that league squads will have preference over practice shooters for trap availability.

NSSA to host WHHC’s 6th Annual Trap Shoot For Heroes May 20th
NSSA is proud to host the 6th annual Trap Shoot For Heroes on Saturday May 20th. WHHC is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization that provides hunting trips as a healing experience for wounded veterans.
Not only does the Trap Shoot for Heroes event help to raise money each year to make these hunting trips possible, it provides the wounded veterans with an opportunity to get out on the trap range and have a little fun themselves.

Spring Trap League Starts March 2nd

Our Spring League starts Thursday, March 2nd, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the 100 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.

Meat Shoot Cancelled
The Meat Shoot scheduled for Sunday, January 8th has been CANCELLED due to the forecasted temperature. Skeet will remain open as scheduled. If you have any questions feel free to email shotgunsports@northsidesportsmen.com!

First Meat Shoot this Sunday 10/23
We wil
l be holding our first Meat Shoot of the season this Sunday, October 23rd at10:00am. Additional shoots are scheduled for November 6th, November 20th, December 4th, and December 18th.

The flyer also gives information on ammo restrictions so please do take the time to read it.
For those of you who have participated in our meat shoots in the past, we have made a few changes that we hope will make them more enjoyable for all participants. We can now accommodate larger squads of approximately 15 shooters per squad thanks to our new and improved concrete pads. This means less waiting and more shooting!
We will also be holding what we’re calling the “lucky shot” raffle each shoot. Shooters can purchase raffle tickets for $2 each. After the 7th round of shooting we will pull a ticket and that shooter will have one shot to break the lucky target. If the 1st shooter misses we will pull a 2nd ticket and a 3rd if necessary. We will not pull more than 3 tickets per shoot. If a shooter breaks the target they win all of the raffle money. If nobody breaks the target the money will carry over to the next meat shoot. Try your hand and see how lucky you are!

Trap practice CLOSED Oct 1 & 2
Trap will be CLOSED on Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd. Only shooters who participate in the North Suburban Trap League will be permitted to shoot on Sunday as the NSTL is holding their Post Season Shoot and will be utilizing all four traps. Shooters wishing to shoot practice are welcome to join us again on Thursday, October 6th and Sunday, October 9th.
