Make Ready!
On behalf of the West Range Committee, we want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who joined us on February 21st for our Make Ready event. Your enthusiasm and participation made the day an absolute success!
Whether you were taking your first steps into dynamic shooting or just brushing up on the fundamentals, it was fantastic to see everyone so engaged. During the event, participants had the opportunity to dive into:
- Safety Protocols & Best Practices: Ensuring everyone stays safe and responsible while having a great time on the range.
- Range Commands: Reviewing the standard commands so everyone knows exactly what to expect and how to respond.
- Event Registration: Walking through the process of how to seamlessly sign up for competitive, dynamic-style events.
- Live Stage: Getting out there and testing out those skills firsthand on a real event stage!
The West Range Committee had a ton of fun putting this event together, and we certainly hope our participants had just as much fun attending. We are already looking forward to seeing you all put these skills to use at our upcoming local matches.
To capture the energy of the day, we’ve put together a brief highlight reel. Check out the video below to see everyone in action!
Thank you again for your incredible support, and we will see you out on the range!
🎄 Yippee Ki Yay! Die Hard 2 Event 🎄
What an Action-Packed Way to Start the Holidays!
We want to send a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our annual holiday-themed event, based on Die Hard 2, this past Friday!
In keeping with the tradition of John McClane being a holiday icon, we wrapped up the year with four highly challenging, action-packed stages loosely based on the classic Christmas movie. With many of our members braving the cold across both the AM and PM sessions, the energy and competitive spirit were truly electric! Thank you for bringing your enthusiasm, good sportsmanship, and incredible skills.
Before diving into the results, we want to extend a massive, sincere THANK YOU for your continued, phenomenal support of all our West Range events throughout the entire year. Your participation is what makes these events possible and so much fun!
Final Scores
The competition was fierce, and the scores were separated by razor-thin margins. After a thorough tally of the results, we have our champion!
A colossal CONGRATULATIONS to Dylan for a spectacular performance, navigating the challenges like a true hero and securing the top spot!
Here are the official top three finishers:

Thank you once again to everyone who attended! We look forward to seeing you at our events in the New Year.
Happy Holidays and stay safe!
West Range Halloween Shoot
A massive thank-you to everyone who joined us for the West Range: Return of the Dead zombie shoot! This marked our very first official event on the new West Range, and the updated layout gave us the perfect stage to test out some new ideas — and it’s safe to say, our shooters loved it.
Despite losing poor Carl the security guard to the zombie horde, our fearless NSSA action heroes held their ground and kept the outbreak under control.
We couldn’t have done it without our incredible members, guests, and RSOs who made the event such a killer success (pun totally intended). Here’s to many more events on the West Range!
*Reminder to check your email for the Die Hard event on 11/28. Search for “Die hard is a Christmas Movie!”

West Range Construction: Update
Hello Members of NSSA,
We have exciting news about the West Range renovations, we’re making quick progress!
The project is moving along swiftly. The side berms in front of the pavilion have been fully removed, and the base layer of the new berm seems to be set. We are also making sure the range is built to last by installing drainage swales to ensure proper water runoff.
What’s Happening Next?
We will continue to have dirt delivered to the club this week and through the end of November as we start the final touches on the range.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER: Range Closure
Please remember that the West Range remains closed during this time of renovation. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to complete this exciting project.
Thank You!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the workday this past Sunday! We were able to clean and store all of the wood from the old berms, which we can reuse for future range maintenance projects.
Stay tuned for more updates.
Sincerely,
NSSA West Range Committee

West Range Closed for Construction
We’re excited to announce that a major improvement project is now underway on the West Range!
As part of this effort, the range will be temporarily closed starting October 3rd, 2025. This project includes:
- Regrading and resurfacing the range floor
- Installing improved drainage
- Extending the bay lengths in front of the pavilion
- Splitting the area into two dedicated shooting sections
We anticipate that the West Range will remain closed for several weeks while the work is completed. We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
Regarding upcoming events: depending on construction progress and equipment storage needs, we’re still hoping to host the annual Zombie Shoot. We’ll provide more information about West Range events in the near future.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to improve our facilities!
West Range Night Shoot

Extending a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first-ever NSSA Night Shoot! Your enthusiasm and participation made this maiden voyage a success, and we’re excited about the possibility of offering more in the future. A shout out to those who came up to observe and chat with a group.
A special shoutout to Send Nods for coming out and providing members with the opportunity to try different devices and offering rentals—your support truly enhanced the experience.
Big thanks also go to Nick and Hutch for traveling up to help RO the event and set up the courses.
The moving and shooting stages gave members a chance to put their gear to the test after dark, and the addition of the new V-Tac Barrier—generously donated by one of our members—was a major hit!
Look for more as we move through the year!
