Due to extenuating circumstances, the board has voted to cancel the fish fry and spring gun bash this year. This action was approved by general membership at the February 5th meeting.
I assure everyone that this was not a decision that was easy for anyone. However it is necessary to allow time for the reorganization and planning by the new special events committee. Our fundraising event schedule will resume starting with the fall gun bash.
We appreciate your understanding,
NSSA Executive Committee

Youth archery kickoff a great success
NSSA Youth Archery begins Oct 28th!
NSSA is pleased to announce that the NSSA Youth Archery program signup and orientation is scheduled for Sunday October 28th @ 1PM
Email youtharchery@
NSSA’s youth archery program is for children from 9 to 20 years of age.
The program will run from October to the first week of April and will be held on Sundays from 1 to 4.
Due to a change in leadership, NSSA must re-establish its JOAD affiliation.
Despite this, students will still be eligible to compete in JOAD tournaments during the re certification process. They will be signed up as an independent archer but will still need to be a member of USA Archery Organization to participate.
Tournaments start in December and go until April. Most of them are on held on Saturdays, but there are a few times when their shoot times may take place on a Friday or a Sunday.
We suggest that if you are interested in the program and you DO NOT have equipment. PLEASE DO NOT go out and buy anything. We have both compounds and recurve equipment available for your child to try. We will be able to recommend equipment that will fit them properly.
*IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THEY ARE FITTED WITH THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT!!!*
A parent is required to attend with their child.
We are excited about all the new changes and look forward to working with the kids.
Please feel free to email youtharchery@

NSSA Swap Meet
May 2, 2017 at
General Membership Meeting
Start at 6 PM until Beginning of meeting
Northside Sportsmen’s Association will hold a swap meet at the clubhouse for all members at the May regular membership meeting. Any member registering may bring sporting items to trade or sell to other members.
Please, sporting items only! No household junk, no liquor, no furniture, no regular clothing, etc. We’re looking to trade or buy ammo, reloading equipment and supplies, firearm accessories, hunting/shooting clothing, optics, fishing and hunting equipment, archery equipment and accessories, etc. If you bring a firearm to sell, make sure it is unloaded and the action is locked open with a tie-wrap. And you will be responsible for complying with all state and federal laws.
All sales are between individuals. The Club has no responsibility toward your satisfaction.
All materials and equipment brought to the meet must be removed by the end of the evening. Do not leave anything on a table.
To participate, please send an email to register for a half table to display your items. The registration is so we know how many tables to provide. There is no charge to participate. If you don’t want to sell, then stop by and look through the things others bring. Maybe you’ll find something you’ve been looking for!
Then, stick around for the meeting at 7:30 PM, and have a free dinner afterwards.
Remember to wear your membership card.
To register, email your name to Stan Hoover at rifle@northsidesportsmen.com. If you don’t register you won’t get a table.
