2021 Deer Season Range Closures
In observance of the first week of Deer Season ALL Ranges will be CLOSED from dawn to dusk Nov 27th – Dec 4th 2021 and will reopen Dec 5th. The following closures will be in effect for this year:
- All outdoor ranges will be closed Friday evening November 26 at dusk and will remain closed the entire week.
- Trap and Skeet will be open their regular evening hours after 5 PM (4 PM if there are no hunters signed into the Hunting Sign In Book).
- There will be no closures of the indoor Archery Range.
Please understand that there is to be NO shooting of firearms during the range closures
anywhere on NSSA property except in legal hunting. If you don’t have your firearm
sighted in before range closure on Saturday November 27, you cannot sight it in here during the week of
closures. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action by the Board.

Indoor 3D Archery begins Jan 6th 2022

Indoor Archery League begins Dec 14, 2021
The 9 week indoor 300 Archery league begins on Tuesday December 14th 2021 at 6:00 pm. Please sign up by email to indoor300@northsidesportsmen.com
Scoring will be determined by the number of participants.

At the rifle range

Sight in your old or new hunting rifle, muzzleloader, or slug gun for the coming hunting season. This event is open to the public, FREE for NSSA members, $2/firearm for non-members. You supply firearms and ammo, we supply the targets, at 100 yards. We will supply target spotting if you don’t have a scope, and advice and help if you need it. Sandbags will also be available, and a limited supply of ear and eye protection on loan.
The range will be open to members for general shooting at no charge (Guests $2). Please note that access to targets may be limited at times due to the need to service sight-in targets.
Sight-in days will only be cancelled due to inclement weather, particularly cold below 25F. If so, a notice will be sent out. The range will then remain open to members.
CANCELLED – Women’s Self Defense Awareness Class
The WOMEN’S SELF DEFENSE AWARENESS CLASS NOV 6 is cancelled. A new date will be announced soon.
Clubhouse and Indoor Events CLOSED until Nov 1
All clubhouse and indoor events will remain CLOSED until Nov 1st 2021 due to a COVID exposure. Members have been notified by email with more information regarding the situation.. This closure includes the following events.
- Trap
- Skeet
- Indoor Archery
- Youth Archery (JOAD)
All outdoor ranges remain open to members through this period.
Indoor Archery CLOSED October 8-10, 2021
The indoor archery range will be closed October 8, 2021 – October 10, 2021 for a private event.
No Range Fees for Members Oct 1
Effective Oct 1st 2021, NO Range fees are required from Members, Spouses and Children under 18 when using Rifle, Pistol, Indoor/Outdoor Archery, or West Ranges. Fees still apply for Trap, Skeet and special events.
Guests must continue to pay range fees and EVERYONE must continue to SIGN-IN.
