Volunteers needed for Fish Fry
Volunteering at Northside Sportsmen’s Association can reduce your annual dues by as much as $50. There are few light-duty volunteer opportunities that are as enjoyable as supporting the Spring Fish Fry Fridays.
This year, the Fish Fry occurs on Fridays Feb 20 – Apr 3 as shown in the calendar below.
We need 3 or 4 volunteers each Friday during two time periods …
10:00 – 2:00
4:00 – 8:00
This is one of the best ways for you to have a fun day and reduce your annual club dues for 2016 at the same time.
If you’re interested, please send your preferred date and time to volunteer@northsidesportsmen.com. Your request will be confirmed within 24 hours.
Thank you for your support of Northside Sportsmen’s Association.

Battle of the Bulge Event
On December 14th NSSA hosted a rifle match to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.
True to weather conditions experienced at the start
of the actual battle, we had solid heavy overcast and drizzle. (But unlike the Ardennes on December 16, 1944, we had no fog.)
Nine shooters participated in this just-for-fun event. It consisted of 16 slow-fire rounds from a bolt action rifle followed by 24 rapid-fire rounds from an M1 Garand.
Two of the participants (Mike Podolec and Jim Wojcienowski) dressed in period-correct field combat uniforms, which added to the atmosphere of the
event …
As a reminder, the 2015 CMP planning meeting is January 19 @ 7 PM in the clubhouse. You do not need to have participated in any CMP events to go to the meeting, and the meeting is open to all club members.

Rifle sight in days open to the public fall 2014
NSSA’s Rifle Committee will hold sight-ins days for hunting rifles on November 22 and 23, and also Nov 29 and 30, from 8 am til 4 pm.
We will also repeat the deer hunter’s challenge, a 4 shot match at different distances at deer size targets. Come out, sight your rifle in, then take the challenge for $2!
Also, we need volunteers to help, good for volunteer hours for next year. We particularly need help on both Sundays.
