West Range Upcoming Events

West Range Grand Opening
Join us for the Grand Opening of the West Range on Sunday, July 10th! There will be FREE SHOOTING, free food, and free drinks from 10am-2pm. This is a great opportunity for you to take advantage of the beautiful new range your club has built for its members to enjoy! Click here for more info.
Wednesday Night Tactical Shoot
We will be holding a new event on Wednesday, July 13th at 6pm. Shooters will be shooting paper targets from behind multiple barricades with a tactical reload. Cost is $10 per shooter. Click here for more info.

Trap CLOSED 10/4

Trap will be CLOSED to shooters wishing to shoot practice on Sunday, October 4th. Only shooters who participate in the North Suburban Trap lEague will be permitted to shoot as the NSTL is holding their Post Season Shoot and will be utilizing all four traps. There will be no exceptions to this as there are 80+ shooters scheduled to shoot 100 targets. Shooters wishing to shoot practice are welcome to join us again on Thursday, October 8th, and Sunday, October 11th.

Annual Family Picnic & Renewal Info

Northside Sportsmen’s Association’s Annual Family Picnic will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until 6:00pm. All members, family, and friends are welcome. Food will be served at 2:30pm. Members and their immediate family members (spouse and children under 18) are free with current 2015 membership. Guests are $15.00 per person. PICNIC
 
Please RSVP by September 2nd via email (membership@northsidesportsmen.com) or by leaving a voicemail message at (724) 230-4740. Please list your membership number, the # of family members attending, and the # of guests attending.
Also, please be advised that you should receive your 2016 renewal paperwork in the mail the week of August 31st. This is our first year sending out renewals using our new software and card system, which has caused a slight delay. Please do not send your 2016 dues in before receiving your renewal paperwork in the mail. Dues sent in without the renewal return paperwork will be returned unprocessed. Rest assured that we are hard at work to ensure this delay will not hinder your ability to utilize the club.
Please direct all current and future questions, concerns, or issues regarding membership to the Membership Chairman. This will ensure that you are receiving accurate information in a timely manner as it negates the need for other Directors and Officers of the club to pass the message along.

Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp Holds 4th Annual Fundraiser Trap Shoot

Healing on the Hunt

On Saturday, May 9th, Wounded Heroes Hunting Camp held their 4th Annual Trap Shoot for Heroes. WHHC is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization that provides hunting trips as a healing experience for wounded veterans.

Not only does the Trap Shoot for Heroes event help to raise money each year to make these hunting trips possible, it provides the wounded veterans with an opportunity to get out on the trap range and have a little fun themselves. This year’s event drew in 90+ shooters, both novice and experienced, with 9 of the shooters being NSSA “regulars”. Trophies were given out for Overall Champion, Female Champion, and Team Champions. Congrats to the following people!

Overall Champion: Bob Szoszorek- 49/50

Female Champion: Emily Noftz- 49/50

Team Champions: Kelly Simmons, Frank Sommer, Dan Thomson, Bob Szoszorek & Paul Szoszorek

Special thanks to Jeff Kelly, Ron Halli, and all of the other NSSA volunteers that made this event run smoothly and of course to all of the veterans in attendance for their service to our country. God Bless! We are proud to hold this event at NSSA and are already looking forward to next year.

5-Stand This Sunday, May 3rd

The Skeet committee is excited to announce that 5-Stand is back! Shooting will commence Sunday at 11am and the last round will be at 2pm. The Skeet Committee plans to set up 8 different traps throwing clay target for a variety of shooting. We hope to see you there!

5-Stand CANCELLED Sunday 4/5

Due to mechanical problems, there will NOT be a 5-Stand this Sunday, April 5th. Skeet will remain open. The Skeet Committee members are currently working on getting everything back up and running and will let you know when the next 5-Stand will be as soon as that information is available.

Meat Shoot 3/29 & Trap Practice 4/12 CANCELLED

The Trap Chairmen have decided to cancel the last Meat Shoot of the season that would have taken place on Sunday, March 29th. However, shooters are still welcome to come to shoot practice on this day.

Trap will be CLOSED to shooters wishing to shoot practice on Sunday, April 12th. Only shooters who participate in the North Suburban Trap League will be permitted to shoot as the NSTL is holding their Pre-Season Bank Shoot.
