Youth Archers take on 3-D!
We added a new twist to today’s fun activity for our Youth Archers by offering the opportunity to practice with 3-D targets. They quickly realized the challenges they face when aiming at targets which are at different distances and angles. Everyone in attendance had a great time!
Indoor Archery League to Begin Dec 11
The 9 week indoor 300 Archery league begins on Tuesday December 11th at 6:00 pm. Please sign up by email to indoor300@northsidesportsmen.com. Scoring will be determined by the number of participants. See the Indoor Archery League Page for more details and full schedule.
AR-15 Challenge Nov 11 2018
NSSA will host another AR15 challenge on Sunday Nov 11, 2018 on the West Range.
The AR 15 challenge will test your shooting skills using your AR15 at 7 different stages in various different positions: Standing, kneeling, prone strong arm and weak arm.
Requirements:
2 magazines for some of the stages. You will need at least 68 rounds of ammunition.
Rules:
You may use any AR style firearm and any sight but you may not change sights or the firearm during completion. If we have poor weather we will not require prone shooting – an alternate position will be decided.
Registration:
Please email west.range@northsidesportsmen.com to register for the event.
The cost will be $10.00 to shoot the challenge.
Sign in starts at 9am, shooting begins at 10am. Any shooters not shooting at the time will be required to help target changes and scoring.

Club Picnic 9/15
This year’s club picnic will be held on Saturday, September 15th. Members and their immediate family members (spouse, children/grandchildren under 18yo) are free when the member pays their 2019 dues in advance of the picnic or at the door. Guests are welcome but are $15 per person. Food will be served from 12pm-3pm and will include hot dogs, hamburgers, kielbasa, corn, etc. We will also provide games for the children in attendance.

If you do not yet have a 2019 sticker on your access card you must renew at the door. Please plan on bringing your 2019 renewal form, payment (cash, check made out to NSSA or card including debit/ credit/ Apple Pay) and your volunteer card if applicable. Members who have not yet renewed can expect to receive their renewal form in the mail no later than September 1st.

Reminder: Membership Dues Renewal
If you have not already renewed, you should receive a form in the mail soon.
Please don’t delay in returning your renewal form promptly to maintain your membership.
There is high demand to join and we must proceed with inviting new members to fill vacated spots immediately after the renewal cycle.
In person renewals 7/26
This is a reminder that you can stop by this Thursday, July 26th, from 4pm-8pm to pay your 2019 membership dues. Dues remain $120 for Regular Members, $10 for Junior Members and free for Active Duty Military Members and Life Members. Volunteers must bring their signed volunteer cards to be eligible for discounted dues. Payments can be in the form of cash, check, money order or credit card including chip cards and Apple/Google pay. All those who renew in person will be entered in a drawing for a free 2020 NSSA Membership.
NSSA 2019 membership renewal
We have officially begun the 2019 renewal process and are now ready to start processing renewals. We will once again be encouraging members to pay their dues in person before we send out paper renewal notices in the mail. This will help to cut down on paperwork for the membership committee and will allow you to receive your 2019 sticker immediately without having to wait for it to arrive via US mail.
At this time we have four opportunities scheduled for members to renew in person at the clubhouse- dates and times listed below. Members must bring their access card with them if they choose to renew in person. Please make note that full payment (cash, credit card or check made out to NSSA) is necessary for your renewal to be processed if you are a junior or regular member. We are able to accept both debit and credit cards, including chip cards and Apple/Google Pay.
Saturday, July 14th: 12pm-2pm
Thursday, July 26th: 4pm-8pm
Tuesday, August 7th: 6pm-7:30pm and 8pm-9pm**
Sunday, August 12th: 10am-2pm
**Please note that on Tuesday, August 7th, renewals will be processed from 6:00pm until 7:30pm when the August General Membership Meeting is called to order. Renewals will then be processed for approximately one hour following the adjournment of the meeting. No renewals will be processed during the meeting.
Regular Member Volunteers
Regular members who have completed volunteer service at the club must bring their signed volunteer card to be elgible for discounted dues.
Military Members
Active duty military members must provide a copy of their current active duty orders to have their dues waived.
Life Members
Although Life Members with orange “LIFE” stickers on their cards do not owe dues they are still required to renew and let us know that they intend to maintain their membership at NSSA. Life Members can renew in person, by responding to this email or via mail once we send the forms out.
Those who renew in person before September 1st will be entered into a drawing for a free 2020 NSSA membership. TWO lucky winners will be chosen at random and announced at the September General Membership Meeting.
Those who choose not to renew in person can expect to receive their paper renewal form no later than September 1st. Feel free to reach out via email if you have a specific question about your membership or about the renewal process. In addition, if you have moved and not yet updated your address with NSSA now is the time to do so.
