Spring 2022 Trap League Starts March 3rd

Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 12-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights at the end of the 12-weeks. Our Spring League starts Thursday, March 3rd 2022, with a 50 bird pre-season shoot.

This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the warm up shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season. 

Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $12 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.  Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! Please be advised that during this 12-week league shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice instead, however league squads will have preference over trap availability.

NRA RSO Training Jan 15, 2022

NSSA’s Chief RSO Bob Pelles will be providing NRA Range Safety Officer training Jan 15th 2022. NOTE: Training will be held in the indoor Archery range.

Please have your NRA member number handy. Class will start at 8 am. All course materials will be provided. Lunch will be ordered with the cost split among the participants..

2021 Deer Season Range Closures

In observance of the first week of Deer Season ALL Ranges will be CLOSED from dawn to dusk Nov 27th – Dec 4th 2021 and will reopen Dec 5th. The following closures will be in effect for this year:

  • All outdoor ranges will be closed Friday evening November 26 at dusk and will remain closed the entire week.
  • Trap and Skeet will be open their regular evening hours after 5 PM (4 PM if there are no hunters signed into the Hunting Sign In Book).
  • There will be no closures of the indoor Archery Range.

Please understand that there is to be NO shooting of firearms during the range closures
anywhere on NSSA property except in legal hunting. If you don’t have your firearm
sighted in before range closure on Saturday November 27, you cannot sight it in here during the week of
closures. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action by the Board.
