Fourth Annual Battle of the Bulge Match Dec 10th
On Sunday, December 10 th Northside Sportsman’s Club will hold the Fourth Annual Battle of the Bulge shoot.
It will be the 73 rd anniversary of the battle that took place from December 16, 1944 through January 25, 1945. 250,000 German troops, including three full German Panzer divisions, were massed along the Belgian border.
It was Germany’s last large-scale offensive and a great gamble to try to turn the tide of war. Soldiers on both sides would suffer some of the harshest winter conditions and experience some of the most brutal fighting of the Second World War.
It was named The Battle of the Bulge because of the bulge it created in the American lines at the onset of the battle.

The Pin and Plate season is coming to a close. Very soon the winter months will be among us.

All spots for the upcoming JOAD season have been filled. We apologize to those who we could not be accommodated, there are strict Archer to Coach ratio limits to ensure the proper level of instruction may be provided.
Get Ready! Fall Trap League starts soon
Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 15-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights!
Our Fall League starts Thursday, August 31st, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. After this shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $10 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.
Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! During this 15-week league, shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice. Please be advised, however, that league squads will have preference over practice shooters for trap availability.

July General Membership changed to July 11th
Due to the regularly scheduled general membership meeting falling on July 4th, it has been scheduled for July 11th at 7:30
AR-15 Challenge June 4th 2017
NSSA will host another AR15 challenge on Sunday June 4th 2017 on the West Range.
The AR 15 challenge will test your shooting skills using your AR15 at 7 different stages in various different positions: Standing, kneeling, prone strong arm and weak arm.
Requirements:
2 magazines for some of the stages. You will need at least 68 rounds of ammunition.
Rules:
You may use any AR style firearm and any sight but you may not change sights or the firearm during completion. If we have poor weather we will not require prone shooting – an alternate position will be decided.
Registration:
Please email west.range@northsidesportsmen.com to register for the event.
The cost will be $10.00 to shoot the challenge.
Sign in starts at 9am, shooting begins at 10am. Any shooters not shooting at the time will be required to help target changes and scoring.
