Get Ready! Fall Trap League starts soon
Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 15-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights!
Our Fall League starts Thursday, August 31st, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. After this shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $10 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.
Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! During this 15-week league, shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice. Please be advised, however, that league squads will have preference over practice shooters for trap availability.

AR-15 Challenge June 4th 2017
NSSA will host another AR15 challenge on Sunday June 4th 2017 on the West Range.
The AR 15 challenge will test your shooting skills using your AR15 at 7 different stages in various different positions: Standing, kneeling, prone strong arm and weak arm.
Requirements:
2 magazines for some of the stages. You will need at least 68 rounds of ammunition.
Rules:
You may use any AR style firearm and any sight but you may not change sights or the firearm during completion. If we have poor weather we will not require prone shooting – an alternate position will be decided.

The cost will be $10.00 to shoot the challenge.
Sign in starts at 9am, shooting begins at 10am. Any shooters not shooting at the time will be required to help target changes and scoring.

Pin and Plate Shoot this Sunday May 21
Come join the fun at the Pin & Plate Shoot this Sunday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the West Range!
Have a blast! Shoot all day for only $10
Basic Rules:
A round consists of 3 groups of 5 shots.
Shooters time is recorded upon hitting 5th target
The shooter is permitted 6 rounds of ammo to hit 5 targets
Shooters may choose to shoot all bowling pins, all steel plates or mix it up in any order combination
Clout Archery Starts May 9th
NSSA Archers will hold the first Clout Archery event of the season Tuesday May 9th @ 6PM on the Trap Field. Events will follow on the second Tuesday of the month throughout the summer.
What is Clout you ask? Archers shoot arrows at a flag on a pole (“the Clout”) from a long distance. Points are scored depending on how close each arrow lands to the flag. This is great fun and a lighthearted event. All are welcome!

Following the 100 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
