The indoor archery range will be closed October 3 – 6. Tables and chairs will be setup for the club fundraiser. All ranges will be closed the day of the event Oct 5 2019.
Last Call for 2020 Membership Renewals
If you have not yet renewed your NSSA dues for 2020, now is the time to do so! Renewals are due back to the club by September 30, 2019. Please let us know if you did not receive your renewal form in the mail.
The Membership Committee is hard at work processing the renewals we have received thus far and we will be sending out a large batch of 2020 stickers this coming week.
There is no need to respond to this email if you have already sent in your dues. Your checks will be cashed this week and you can expect to receive your 2020 sticker in the mail no later than October 14th.
NSSA 80th Anniversary Hats
For 2019 we have NSSA 80th anniversary hats available for sale. They’re available in three colors: Red on White, Maroon on Tan, and White on Forest Green.
The cost is $14 per hat. They will be on sale at 7:00 PM at the Membership Meeting on October 1st (half an hour before the meeting). Exact change is appreciated.

October Board Meeting rescheduled
The October Board meeting will take place on October 8th at 7PM.
Rifle Range Golf Cart Orientation Session & Range Closure
The Rifle Range will hold a golf cart orientation session for members who are not currently approved this Saturday August 31, starting at 9 am, at the range. Sessions will continue at least until 11 am, so please do not come all at 9. We may go longer if there is interest.
The rifle range will be closed during this event. The pistol range will remain open.
There will be a discussion of the rules, signing of an agreement to follow the rules, a short driving session, and then having access to the shed lock added to your NSSA access card. So if you forget your card, you won’t get access.

Trap League Starts Sept 5th
Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 12-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights at the end of the 12-weeks.
Our Fall League starts Thursday, Sept 5th, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the 100 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $12 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.
Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! Please be advised that during this 12-week league shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice instead, however league squads will have preference over trap availability.

Club Picnic 9/14
A great opportunity for you to renew your dues and receive your 2020 sticker in person is to attend the Fall Picnic. This year’s picnic is Saturday, September 14th. Food will be served from 12pm-3pm. Members, their spouse and their children/grandchildren under 18yo can attend the picnic for free. Guests are $15/person which can be paid at the door.
