NSSA to host WHHC’s 6th Annual Trap Shoot For Heroes May 20th
NSSA is proud to host the 6th annual Trap Shoot For Heroes on Saturday May 20th. WHHC is a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization that provides hunting trips as a healing experience for wounded veterans.
Not only does the Trap Shoot for Heroes event help to raise money each year to make these hunting trips possible, it provides the wounded veterans with an opportunity to get out on the trap range and have a little fun themselves.

Members NOTE: The Indoor Archery Range will be closed during this event. The archery room will be used for event activities.

All ranges will be closed April 22 for a club fundraiser.
Spring Trap League Starts March 2nd
Every Fall and Spring NSSA hosts a 12-week trap league that takes place on Thursday Nights. Shooters are divided into 5 teams which compete against each other for shells, prizes, and most importantly, bragging rights at the end of the 12-weeks.
Our Spring League starts Thursday, March 2nd, with a 100 bird pre-season shoot. This shoot is a great opportunity for shooters to dust off their guns and get back out on the range. Following the 100 bird shoot, shooters will be divided into the 5 even teams based on their score and known ability, and these are the teams they will shoot 50 birds each week for throughout the rest of the season.
Sign-up times are 4pm-8pm each Thursday and it costs $10 per week to shoot the league. This cost not only covers the targets each week but also the prizes and the end of the league banquet dinner that we have at the club.
Everyone is welcome, including non members, so we hope to see you out there! Please be advised that during this 12-week league shooters are not required to participate in the league and can opt to shoot practice instead, however league squads will have preference over trap availability.
Meat Shoot Cancelled
The Meat Shoot scheduled for Sunday, January 8th has been CANCELLED due to the forecasted temperature. Skeet will remain open as scheduled. If you have any questions feel free to email shotgunsports@northsidesportsmen.com!
5 Stand planned for Jan 15th
Weather permitting, 5-stand will take place on the skeet field.
If the weather does not cooperate, traditional skeet will take place.
Trap and Skeet Closed Christmas and New Years day
In observance of the holidays, trap and skeet will be closed.

Nov 2016 Rifle Sight-in Days
NSSA’s Rifle Committee will once again hold sight-ins days this year for hunting rifles on November 19 and 20, and also Nov 26 and 27, from 8 am til 4 pm each day. These dates are the Saturday and Sunday before and after Thanksgiving.
This activity will be open to members at $1/rifle, and $2/rifle for non members and is open to the public. We will supply targets, sandbags, spotting scopes and assistance. All you need to bring is firearms and ammo. Distances will be 50, 100, and 200 yards.
Participants may sight in rifles, muzzleloaders and slug guns. Cost is $1 per firearm for members and $2 for non-members.This event is subject to cancellation depending on the weather conditions. We will only cancel any day that the temperature does not rise above 25 F. or for all day rain. If we cancel, the range will be open for regular shooting.
Come on out and get you deer rifle ready for the season, and enjoy swapping stories with other hunters.
