Trap practice CLOSED Oct 1 & 2

closedsignTrap will be CLOSED on Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd. Only shooters who participate in the North Suburban Trap League will be permitted to shoot on Sunday as the NSTL is holding their Post Season Shoot and will be utilizing all four traps. Shooters wishing to shoot practice are welcome to join us again on Thursday, October 6th and Sunday, October 9th.

2016 NSSA Handgun Challenge

Join us on the West Range for the 2016 Handgun Challenge on Sunday, September 11th. Registration will be from 9am-10am with shooting starting at 10am. The cost is $10 to participate.   1. SHOOT 10 ROUNDS – 2 MAGS – 5 ROUNDS EACH @ 7 YARDS/STRONG HAND – 5 ROUND TOP ZONE – MAG CHANGE – 5 ROUNDS WEAK HAND LOWER ZONE
  2. SHOOT 10 ROUNDS – 2 MAGS – 5 ROUNDS EACH @ 15 YARDS – 5 ROUNDS UPPER ZONE STRONG HAND NO SUPPORT – 5 ROUNDS LOWER ZONE WEAK HAND NO SUPPORT
  3. SHOOT 10 ROUNDS – 2 MAGS – 5 ROUNDS EACH @ 20 YARDS – 2 UPPER ZONE – 3 LOWER ZONE – MAG CHANGE – 3 LOWER ZONE 2 UPPER ZONE

Clout Archery part deux

IMG_20160726_185852203The Archers had great fun at last month’s Clout Round. In fact, they have decided to schedule another event Tuesday August 30 @ 6:30 PM.

It was quite an experience trying to hit a target on the ground while aiming at the treetops. There are modified sights for this style of archery but we all used our equipment as is setup for standard target shooting. Spotters helped during sight in to help the shooter ascertain the trajectory of their arrows.

Participation fee is $5 – prizes will be awarded to the top score.

This is a lighthearted and fun event for all ages. No Pressure! We encourage you to join us.
